Interview w/ Behind the Scene of Naruto (Mr. Masashi Kishimoto)

Interview with Masashi Kishimoto: The hero of the manga series'based on my self-image of my own childhood, but different from how I really was.
"At 34, Masashi Kishimoto is one of the most successful artists manga-ka, or manga, in the world. Long-running series of ninja-in-training Naruto Uzumaki has sold tens of millions of books worldwide. Kishimoto, born in rural Okayama prefecture, living in Tokyo, where he worked with several assistants. Even though Naruto can be insufferably arrogant at times, Kishimoto seems a bit overwhelmed by the runaway success of the creation of the first primary."It's a little awkward to talk about what makes Naruto appealing to the audience, but I think he became Knucklehead gave her appeal," Kishimoto said in an interview conducted via e-mail with the help of a translator Hiromi Psaila. "Perfect hero is cool, but no one can really empathize or identify with Naruto they often make mistakes. And he has a weakness Naruto felt inferior to his friends, but he hates to be a loser .. Although he did not think about it too much, he knows he hates to lose, and we all know what that feels like I think the reader sees himself in Naruto, and that's what appeals to them. They can empathize with him and his weakness. "
As a boy, obsessed with manga and Kishimoto baseball. In elementary school, he became "addicted" to the popular children's series' "Dragon Ball." His interests gradually expanded to include other manga, especially this landmark Otomo Katsuhiro "Akira." Kishimoto explained that he was so focused on the image that he was bad in high school, ranked 30th in class 31.While in art school, Kishimoto won the contest for candidates with a story manga artist "Karakuri" (Mechanism). The next job, a short manga story about fox spirits disguised as a man (fox traditional shape-shifters in Japanese folklore) named Naruto, appeared in 1997. Two years later, a new version of "Naruto" aired as a series in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and scored a direct hit.Despite the similar name, the new version of "Naruto" is very different from the Hidden Leaf ninja sebelumnya.Desa nearly destroyed by a nine-tailed demon fox, a creature so terrifying it was seen as divine punishment. Village chiefs died, sealing the demon in the body of newborns: Naruto. Because it is associated with Satan, Naruto is a lonely child, shunned by the villagers. At Ninja Academy, he exploded lessons, play pranks and get into the damage."When Naruto was born, it's more like he had somehow come out, instead I created him of some inspiration," he continued. "The picture I only have in mind is the character who was a bad boy I was a poor student. But unlike Naruto, I am a poor student types who give up easily and reflect on things that are not worth pondering. I want Naruto to be He's different self-image is based on my childhood of my own, but different from how I really .. "Naughty nature and spotty record makes Naruto a child coming-of-behind. After graduating from the academy - after three tries - he began his advanced training as a ninja. Although he remained a goof-off in the heart, Naruto would put his life on the line to protect his friends. And in extreme circumstances, he can draw energy from the demon imprisoned in his body. Under the supervision of his teacher, Kakashi, he went on missions in a team with Sasuke and Sakura's rival, who he maintains are devastating.Kishimoto clean strong lines and black areas give the action sequences come together a lot of visual punch. These figures well drawn and accurate human proportion, and they pose a credible suggest movement. "I chose to draw the human figure as accurately as possible because I think this will give a more realistic feel for the action scenes," says Kishimoto. "Authorities can lend the action scenes more power, but I want to keep the numbers more realistic: They help keeping cool in the action scenes, although they may not be as strong as excessive. "Kishimoto describes each page as director / cinematographer, often juxtaposing a series of close-ups of characters that changed expression with the big picture combat sequences. Viewers saw Naruto's determination stiffened before he kicked his opponent out of the wasabi."I watch a lot of movies, and I tend to be influenced by the scenes that intrigue me, that makes me want to use the same effect or technique," says Kishimoto. "I've adopted the technique [actor-director] Takeshi Kitano of the object shoot from long distances to hold the emotion in the scene. I like the way Quentin Tarantino created a scene by using a series of close-ups or show a very cool picture of the person or people walking in ordinary street in slow motion I wish I could reach some sort of slow motion effects in the manga, but it is rather difficult to draw; .. things that only we can play with the voices of black and white I also like Michael Bay shooting technique scene to light the background. I want to try this in the manga, but again it will be rather difficult. "As a student, Kishimoto studied the work of some of the most famous manga artists and animators Japan. In addition to "Dragon Ball" and "Akira," he read, reread and copied images in the sci-fi fantasy Okiura Hiroyuki "Jin-Spirit: Wolf Brigade," Koji Kiriyama breakthrough story ninja "Ninku" and Masamune Shirow is the story of "Ghost in the Shell, "cyberpunk adapted to the screen by Mamoru Oshii. Kishimoto feel their success opened the way for the international popularity of "Naruto," which is influenced by them."I do not think much about foreign readers when I started 'Naruto,' but I know that many artists who influenced me has been accepted abroad," he concluded. "All the people I was influenced by the already very successful in other countries, which may be why it is easier for my work to be accepted there is a 'Naruto' owes much to those artists who won the acceptance and popularity abroad .."
